Gee Royce Engstrom seems incompetent

The actions of University of Montana officials never seem to end.

First an employee writes hate email on UM time, has made previous death threats against the owner of this blog, and the University of Montana violates their own policy, AND does not stop the employee, or uphold their OWN policies.

Like the State of Montana, as long as one or more corrupt officials get together, laws, ethics mean NOTHING!

When the University of Montana retains criminal athletes, and posts that UM is the "Harvard of the West" this school and administration is so far off the charts that they cant even believe it.

Watching who comes into this site really shocked me.  Several people googled "F_ (bomb) Royce Engstrom" and came to this site.  What will it take for these people, who are supported by public tax dollars stop thinking they are above policies, laws, and ethics?

HOW ABOUT LOSS OF REVENUE?

stats are already showing the enrollment is down for FALL 2012.  If you are considering a school that will look the other way as your daughter is raped, just so the Grizzly Football program can go into the post-season, this is your place.

The interim Athletics director says that she can "trust" her lover of 15 years with confidential information....because she trusts him.  Nothing shocks me now.  First UM Interim director Gee replaces a FIRED former boss, and then she screws up.

Even US Attorney Holder is investigating confidential leaks, but Royce Engstrom holds Cum-BYE-YA for his "cabinet".  What is the definition of Oh My God !  Gee is terribly sorry, but will be cured with an appropriateness class with the rest of the UM administration.

No wonder people are googling F____Royce Engstrom.

Confidential means confidential.  If you cant handle it, you shouldnt know, or have that job  Jean Gee.  Gee when you have incompetence this is what you have: U of Montana and Royce Engstrom.  As long as you are having "discussions at a cabinet level" I guess crime, and incompetence is just fine.

Keep up the great work Royce Engstrom at the University of Montana Missoula !

below is the story run on the NBC affiliate in Missoula MT about Royce Engstrom's staff.

Interim AD Discussed Confidential Info In Emails

MISSOULA COUNTY

POSTED: 4:25 pm MDT June 12, 2012

UPDATED: 10:54 am MDT June 13, 2012
The University of Montana's Interim Athletic Director revealed confidential information about sex assault investigations to her significant other.
NBC Montana requested emails traded between top administrators' accounts and found a trail of emails between the woman who replaced terminated Athletic Director Jim O’Day and the man she's involved with.
The emails show interim Athletic Director Jean Gee told her partner, a university employee outside of the Athletic Department, about federal and NCAA investigations before the information was made public.
In one email, Gee told her confidante: "Forgot to tell you...very confidential. Department of Justice notified Royce that they will be coming to campus to do an investigation. Just never ends." Gee sent the email about the Justice Department investigation five days before the information was made public. And it wasn't the first time she discussed confidential matters.
In response to a conversation about the Department of Education complaint filed against the university Gee's friend responded "Now two investigations are public, one to go." He was referring to the NCAA investigation almost a month before NBC Montana broke the story.
“It was a conversation between two partners and was it well advised? No it wasn't. It probably should not have been discussed even between the two of them,” said UM President Royce Engstrom.
Engstrom said his cabinet is discussing the appropriateness of email communications when it comes to confidential topics. Gee said it serves a good reminder to all UM employees.
“I do apologize for using my university email. I mean that is one thing that I recognize is not appropriate and I won't make that mistake again,” Gee said.
But that doesn't change what she would have shared with her partner.
“I've known this man for 15 years, we are in a relationship, a committed relationship and I think that all of us…have somebody in our lives that we trust,” said Gee.
[This doen't make it OK honey]
The emails NBC Montana found start in the middle of March and run through the middle of May 2012. In all, there were more than five instances that show Gee was sharing confidential information.
President Engstrom said his cabinet will be discussing email communication in a general sense to make sure UM employees are using it in an appropriate manner.
“You can be assured that we’re having discussions at the cabinet level,” he said.
[Whoooo......Cabinet level.......this means Royce Engstrom is incompetent to fire UM staff]

Open Letter UM Chief Counsel

The following is an open letter to David Aronofsky Chief UM Counsel, and Dean, Clinics Director of the Montana Law School regarding the crime of unsupervised law students acting as lawyers in Montana.  Just when you thought the University of Montana had problems with sexual assault, they had a 22 year addiction to law student crime.  The University has a problem with transparency, so I decided to give them a lesson in it:

Mr. David Aronofsky                                                                   June 8, 2012

UM Chief Counsel

University Hall 135

Missoula, MT 59812

Dear Mr. Aronofsky,

Although I left phone message that I would call your office this week, I decided to put this in writing for clarification, and permanency.

We had discussed the Montana Student Practice Rule, a court order from the Montana Supreme Court the basis of my problem with the University of Montana.  Angela Wetzsteon ’08 prosecuted unsupervised, made false sworn statement that she was authorized and supervised while doing so in 2007.

I find in unimaginable that you as chief counsel and faculty of the 145/145 ranked law school in America would think to “interpret” a court order that is obeyed in 49 other United States.  I find it unimaginable that even for Wetzsteon’s unauthorized practice that you would disclose in our conversation two weeks ago that third year law students (3L) from your law school continue to practice unsupervised.

I have seen the futility of speaking to you, your law school, or the UM president.  With this being said, I have spoken with all of the stakeholders in this situation, and surprised myself at the guts to call or contact all of them.  You should be notified that some came in my direction anew in a surprising reversal.

Outside of your control, Mr. Anonofsky is the ability of the public to call authorities on students who practice unsupervised, and the onerous is not only on the public, but on the professionals within and outside the courtroom who have a responsibility to the public for their safety.

I would imagine that a parent of your law students might have a big issue of allowing law students in a courtroom unsupervised, especially as they are facing criminal charges.  I would also imagine that your school, already ranking last would cease to exist in short order with only one instance of law student crime.

As the administration of the law school refused to meet with a concerned member of the public who not only supports the school via state taxes, but was an alumni goes beyond my comprehension.  I trust you will show this correspondence to UM 17th President Royce Engstrom, as your direction to the UM police to threaten any contact hastens my ability or desire to contact UM administration either.

Let it be known Mr. Aronofsky that a UM official such as yourself who has the ability to speak on behalf of the University choose very unwisely to tell a victim such as myself about third year law students who continue to practice unlawfully.  Leaders take action, and when I assessed that your office, the Montana law school, nor the UM president’s office would stop the criminal activity, I interacted with those who could stop this activity, condoned by your own admission.

Actions on behalf of the University of Montana that condone criminal and unethical behavior amongst the international assault situation warrant your immediate resignation with cause.

Sincerely,

 /s/
